Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE)

 Be Kind Movement supports PSHE lessons within both Primary and Secondary schools and understands the importance of these life lessons. With the Government’s emphasis placed on continued learning throughout their time in school and calling upon external resources, we know that Be Kind Movement  can be an asset with our competency based model that emphasises Kindness to Yourself and Kindness to Others. We can support schools in our communities with the continued focus of developing  emotional intelligence skills in children and young people.

We strive to support schools with their teaching of kindness by utilising question-based and thematic models that engage with students in positive and motivating ways. The key emotional intelligence skills we work on within  our workshops are:

  • Self-awareness;

  • Self-management;

  • Social awareness;

  • Relationship skills and

  • Responsible decision-making.

Prioritising children’s emotional well-being, whilst equipping them for the wider world, is a key priority at Be Kind Movement. We understand that PSHE education can add to a school’s safeguarding contribution while helping to educate children on how best to keep themselves safe. We aim to empower children with the emotional intelligence skills needed to be happy, confident and successful in their individual and professional lives.

Throughout our workshops, we call upon real life situations and dilemmas to support critical thinking and problem-solving skills. At the end of each workshop, children are allowed to take their worksheets home and we set a kindness task which keeps them reflecting upon what they have learnt.
